At the beginning of the workshop, Cari asked us what we wished AI could do and what concerns we had about it. Some people brought up environmental impacts, while others were more concerned about the loss of critical thinking skills. She went on a talk about these issues and what companies and countries are doing to help.

We then discussed privacy, including different AI models and what is considered safe or unsafe to use. Other topics included ethics, equity, hallucinations, bias, deep fakes, and environmental impact. We also talked about how AI is being used in schools, who is using it, and when and how it should be used in a classroom setting.

One statistic that stood out to me was that 78% of students are using AI in schools. We also learned that some countries have already started integrating AI into their curriculum. To finish, Cari shared several AI resources with us, including lesson plans and practical guides for classroom use.
